The Story of Job, Elihu, and You

Elihu, a younger man, was compelled by the Spirit to refute Job. I find following chapters are an extrodinary example of a wise man being used by God to spread truth. I challange anyone who finds themselves complaining to God, worrying about their circumsances, or questioning the Lord to read the carefully crafted words of Elihu. God spoke through Elihu to refute Jobs misconceptions. Elihu makes it known in Job 33:14 that "God does speak - now one way, now another - though no one percieves it. In a dream, in a vision of the night, when deep sleep falls on people as they slumber in their beds, he may speak in their ears and terrify them with warnings, to turn them from wrongdoing an keep them from pride, to perserve them from the pit, their lives from perishing by the sword. Or someone may be chastened on a bed of pain with constant distress in their bones, so that their body finds food repulsive and their soal loathes the choicest meal."

You might be facing some of the same hardships that Job faced. You might just have a sore shoulder from doing extra push ups in the gym yesterday. I pray that whatever you are going through today, you find comfort in knowing that God speaks to us in unimaginable ways. We just need to stay quiet and listen, even for a moment, to let the light of life shine on us.
